Chancellor Alistair Darling announced a £2,000 incentive to drivers of vehicles aged 10 years and over in the April Budget which came into force in May.
Designed to give the motor industry a boost and to encourage car drivers out of older more polluting cars and into newer vehicles, the scheme sees car drivers receive £1,000 from the government and £1,000 from the manufacturer.
To benefit from the cash incentive, all you will need to do is take your eligible vehicle to Lookers Land Rover and select the vehicle you would like to purchase. We will take care of everything for you, including claiming the incentive on your behalf and arranging the scrapping of your old vehicle.

Scrappage schemes are currently operating in Austria, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Portugal, Romania and Spain, typically on cars over 10 years old. Germany has seen a soar in car sales of 21 per cent in February and 40 per cent in Germany in March.
